The end of the end

When furniture and fittings go on sale it really is the last few days
of trade. Reminds me of the final days of Woolworths.

What's the big idea?

It's simple really. I wanted to play around with the idea of convergence - phone, editor, content provider and email all from the same device. It's been possible for a while, but I wanted to have a go too.

I wanted to set it up so that I could snap and post without any other intervention. Nowadays I use an iPhone 3GS to take the pics, various apps to edit them and upload them by emailing from the phone to flickr. I then set flickr to directly post emailed pictures to the blog hosted at blogspot.

I also use an automated "set generator" to create a specific flickr set based on a keyword which flickr auto tags into my photos on the email upload.

And finally, I user dlvr.it to automatically create a tweet in my twitter stream.

And that's all there is to it.
